Hey, my name is Josh, I’ve been passionate about this industry since I was young and went to study VFX & Concept Design at Staffordshire University.
During my time on the course, I developed a thorough understanding of the VFX pipeline and was able to develop my skills in various software and artistic disciplines. I believe I have a strong foundation of skills and I’m confident with Maya having put a lot of time into further developing my hard-surface modelling techniques to ensure I produce clean topology and meshes which are optimised to work well further down in the pipeline. I can also produce neatly laid out UV’s and have a strong understanding of the UDIM workflow from both an unwrapping and texturing standpoint.
Since graduating, I have had some experience as a runner and have also enjoyed further developing my skills in 3D modelling as well as branching out into Texturing and Look Development.
